7 days, departs on Day 8

  • Day 1 Nov.10 Arrive from Kolkata or Bangkok to Paro, morning arrive, take 1 hour drive towards Thimphu, Stop at Iron Bridge and Milarepa Cave, drink blessing waters from the holy mountain
  • Day 2 Nov.11 Thimphu, Visit 2nd Largest Seated Buddha, meditation instruction, afternoon Astrology College, get an astrological reading from the lamas. Traditional Thangka Painting experience at our Art Studio in Thimphu.
  • Day 3 Nov.12 Punakha 3 hour drive stop at Dochula Pass (10,000 ft) visit to Chimmi Lhakang, the temple of the Divine Madman, Drukpa Kuenely.
  • Day 4 Nov.13 Punakha, Punakha Khamsum Stupa, Punakha Dzong. (white water rafting option )
  • Day 5 Nov.14 Paro Paro Dzong, Kyichu Lhakang, (Dilgo Khentse Rinpoche memorial house)
  • Day 6 Nov.15 Paro Hike to Tiger’s Nest, Hot Stone Bath and Archery at a local Farmhouse
  • Day 7 Nov.16 Neyphu Lama G’s Local Village, Paro Town

Total Costs per person

  1. 7 Days, departs on Day 8. All inclusive Tour (accommodations/food) Guide and Driver $2,200 USD per person (3 people we use a H-1 Van seat capacity 5-7)

  3. We book your international Flight into Bhutan from one of the Hubs, one flight per day on Drukair Economy- from Bangkok ($935) New Delhi ($570) or Kathmandu ($470)-approx airfare costs.

What is the Sustainable Development Fee? (SDF)

Included in your Total Tour Cost is a $100 per person per day Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) sent directly to the Royal Government of Bhutan. The royalty provides free education and healthcare for the citizens of Bhutan. The fee directly goes to protect and nurture the conservation of the environment, promotion of culture, enhancement infrastructure. It also helps to provide resources for improved facilities for tourists in Bhutan. The SDF is to secure sustainable and responsible tourism as “High value, Low volume”.

Visa Details and E-tickets

  • We will process your Visa through Immigration, and email your Visa to you
  • Your E-ticket and your Visa will be emailed to you to you one month before travel time
  • You will be responsible for obtaining a Visa for any other countries you will be transiting on your way into Bhutan

Accommodations

  • Rooms are Standard, Shared, double for couples
  • We only use exclusive resorts and hotels
  • For single supplement/private room there is an extra charge

Food/Meal Options

Let us know your preferences, food allergies/sensitivities

  • Breakfast will be a choice of continental, breads, pancakes, eggs, coffee and teas.
  •  Lunch and dinners consist of freshly cooked organic vegetables, a meat dish and either Bhutanese red rice or white rice, and a noodle dish.  
  • Veg and Non Veg options at each meal, sometimes influenced by the cuisine of India, Nepal, chefs will try to incorporate traditional dishes of Bhutan. 
  • Bhutan is almost 100 percent organic, we will visit some incredible market places in Paro and Thimphu if time permits.
  • Red Rice is by far the most popular exported grain, (pictured)
  • The main dish for the Bhutanese is a chili cheese dish called Ema Datshi, and also momo’s which are a dumpling influenced from Tibet and Nepal.
  • Beef, chicken and pork are the most popular meats, there is no butchery in Bhutan, it’s exported from India.

Our Cancellation Policy


To confirm your Bhutan trip booking, full tour payment has to be made prior to your arrival in Bhutan. In the event of Bhutan tour booked and subsequently cancelled by you, your full tour cost will be refunded to you after deducting the following scale of charges depending on when the notification of your tour cancellation is received, and in addition admin fees for tour and airlines. The SDF will be refunded by Immigration, and will be paid in full at anytime.

a) If notification of your tour cancellation is received within 30 days prior to arrival in Bhutan, 50 %of your Bhutan tour cost shall be deducted as cancellation charges.

b) If notification of your tour cancellation is received within 15 days before your arrival in Bhutan, 75% of your Bhutan tour cost shall be deducted as cancellation charges.
